Mosaic Monday it is today, hosted as every week by the gracious Mary from The little Red House.
The pictures in this mosaic I made last week in one of our favorite walking places. While most of nature is mostly grey at the moment I still found some red leaves on the ground .

My photo is of a pink scarf I started knitting this week. I have had this wool for many years and I never knew what to do with it. A friend of mine was knitting scarfs and showed them on her blog so when I saw them I thought why not use the pink wool for knitting one too.So here is the start . This will be great for my granddaughter who loves pink for Christmas..I couldn't pick one nice picture so I just showed all of the ones I had:)) and made this mosaic.

Mosaic Monday & Blue Monday

Last week I have been posting about the beautiful old city of Delft. These two mosaics are the last pictures I am going to show . Those people who love blue I am sure they all know Delft Blue.

For mosaic Monday , hosted as always by gracious host Mary from the little Red House,I have some pictures left that I didn't show earlier.( at least most of them) It just shows a little of what beautiful Delft has to show. If you are interested in more photo's just scroll down a bit.

For more mosaics go here.Mary has a list of all the participants of this lovely weekly event.
Please click photo's to enlarge.

For Blue Monday hosted by Sally from HTTP://WWW.Smilingsally.blogspot.com I also have photo's from Delft but all with a little blue in it. Probably every blue lover knows our Delft Blue ceramique. WEll, it is made here in this little old city. And here it is all handpainted. I might go to the factory again one day to make pictures but that will come some other time. When you look at the mosaic you see this glass blue statue. That shows a heart, and it says this is the heart of Delft, city of blue. Delft is blue. As you can see on my mosaic there are many little souvenir shops, in fact that whole big square is full of it. There is so much to buy , all most souvenirs of things that Holland is known of, like our wooden shoes, tulips and of course Delft blue.

Please click photo's to enlarge.

Have a lovely Monday

Outdoor Wednesday

Today is Outdoor Wednesday again, as always hosted by Susan from A Southern Daydreamer.

Today I have a mosaic of photo's made in the beautiful old city of Delft as a follow up of yesterday's foto's. Maybe you want to scroll down? These photo's like yesterday's are shots of things that Delft is known of. University students rowing their races in Delfts waters, beautiful little old bridges, many many souvenirshops, and now quiet squares surrounded by oh so many café's and restaurants. In the summer these places are packed.

For better views please click photo to enlarge.

My world Tuesday

Some months ago an Autralian friend asked me if I could make some pictures for her when we went to Delft. So we did ,yesterday. My contribution for My World today is the beautiful historic city of Delft.
Just a few photo's , I made about 100 of this beautiful old city, but I can always show some more later. The first photo is the old Town Hall that still is in use since about 1600 .
Then there is the new Church is also from about that time, This is a landmark in Delft and this is the church where our Royal family is entombed in the Royal cript.

Probably everybody knows Delft is the city of `Delft Blue` Here you see just a few of the many little souvenir shops on the large market place.Look at the beautiful, all different facades .This was a soft wintery day so it was very quiet .It had been raining most of the day so not many tourists. In the summer Delft is full. And then this last photo is a wonderful piece of art. It is made of plexiglass and steel. It says this is the blue heart of Delft. Delft is blue.
