Pink Saturday.

Another week and another pink Saturday hosted by Beverly of “How sweet the sound”
I made another mosaic as I still have so many pink pictures. These pink painted houses I saw on the first day we were in England .Of course I had my camera on hand while we were in the car. Thank goodness  we had to stop for a traffic light so I could open the window and take the photo. Didn’t want to miss any pink )) Since I joined Beverly almost three years ago this has become a second nature. Looking for pink.

Alphabe Thursday.

Alphabe Thursday is hosted by Ms Jenny Matlock. This week we need to bring up words with the letter R.
I found words like Rabbit and Rain and Rich and Round and  Row  but I went for Roses.
Beautiful roses. Here they are, all different colors and of course there are Red Roses too.

Watery and outdoor Wednesday.

Watery Wednesday.
One day while we were in England walking along a little river in a lovely old village making photo’s we saw this moorhen sitting there on its nest with one tiny little baby. And in a minute or two there were four of them. They must have come out of the eggs while we were watching there . They ran away from mum and jumped right in the water where I think it was dad was waiting.

I made a collage of some photo's I made during those exciting minutes.

Outdoor Wednesday.

These photo’s I made in a very old , very well known village in the Cotswolds Chipping Cambden. It is known for its houses and buildings which are all built in golden colored Cotswold stone.
As you can see it was very busy there that day and we  couldn´t find a place to park the car.  We just drove through the  lovely village and that was that. On to other places.

For blue Monday I have this mosaic of Lavender fields I saw in a lovely little village in the Cotswolds. Miles of lavender fields in all different colors.
When I saw this it really took my breath away. Never seen anything like it. So beautiful.

Pink Saturday.

Today I have two photo’s of a beautiful mansion in England that we visited called Hinton Ampner.
These photo’s are of the backdoor to the terrace and garden  and I want you to look at the stairs to the terrace. See those lovely little pink and white flowers that grow on the vertical stones. So gorgeous.

I will tell and show more of this beautiful estate in later posts because all the furniture , the china and glassware is so fantastic that I need to show you all that some time in the future.

Skywatch Friday.

There is not much to show in special skies these days. Or they are grey or clear blue.
Yesterday we went to visit a safaripark with our grandchildren. The giraffes were favorites because one of them came to visit us and greeted us through our glass top of the car. The kids had so much fun.There were a lot of them  and there were quite some young ones too. Beautiful,and oh my ,so tall.

Pink Saturday.

Pink Saturday is like every week hosted by sweet Beverly of “How sweet the sound”

This Saturday I want to show you a few pictures of the 17th century mansion Wimpole Hall that we visited on our first day in England . We would stay in Cambridge and this was quite near. After the death of her husband captain George Bambridge in 1943 , mrs Elsie Bambridge, daughter of writer and poet Rudyard Kipling, went on restoring  the house until she died in 1976. After that  the National Trust took over the care for the estate.



The house is full of the most beautiful paintings and  furniture  and in the library there are more than 10000 books.









Look at that wallpainting over the mirror in this formal reception room..

Skywatch Friday.

While visiting England we also went to Windsor. We wanted to visit the castle but there were so many tourists that we passed. We just had some nice lunch , made some photo’s and left again. It was raining now and then so the sky did change regularly.

This week we need to come up with words beginning with the letter O for Ms Matlock’s class. Not an easy letter.
I found a few words but I chose Orange. I found a few flowers in this color Orange and put them On my blog.
