PInk Saturday.

Today we visited a little old village called Pals . I made many photo's but I needed some with pink so here are only a few. In the coming days I am going to show  more of this beautiful very old village and of some more of these sort of villages.

 The village may be so small but there always and everywhere are souvenir shops. So here as well.

And I almost forgot,  there was a gelateria with the most delicious icecream. I had chocolate and tiramisu taste.Yummy.

Today we have to study the letter X for Ms Matlock's class. Now that is a very difficult letter but I found a word : X-tra. This is an  Xtra special collage of photo's I made in one of my favorite shops here in Spain. It is a ceramics shop, more an Xtra large shop with so many beautiful ceramics. I can spend hours there. Let me tell you some more.
The ceramics town of La Bisbal d'Emporda has been a major centre for the production of ceramics since the 18th century. Is is famed internationally for prodocing a wide variety of ceramics from tradional earthenware and decorative pottery to paving tiles , garden pots and building materials.
As I love  teacups and dinner ware I am in heaven when I am in just this one shop. And let me tell you there are so many of them all selling beautiful ceramics.
These photo's show only a little of what this shop sells. It is loaded. This is just an impression.
And by the way, I didn't buy anything yesterday.

Yesterday we passed some  horse stables  and a young girl was training this beautiful horse.We stayed a while and of course I had to take some photo's They were all taken when he was galoping around.

The photo’s of the windows are all made in England, the ones of the water are made in Spain.

Outdoor Wednesday.

Most of you know we are on holidays . We are in the northern part of Spain , a bit Spanish Pyrenees and a bit Costa Brava.   Today we went for a drive  around the place where we stay for some time. The weather is still beautiful , thank goodness for that.

I took a lot of photo’s and I made a collage of a few of them just to show a bit of what I saw today. I will show a lot more of this part Spain in the coming weeks. There are the mountains with little very old villages, there is the beach, there is the countryside. Lots to see .

I want to show a photo I made in the city of Valence in France last weekend. Would you believe  that there are still people living in this old house. It is in a very old neighborhood and I love what they do to make it look a bit brighter . Paint it pink and blue. Lovely.

Skywatch Friday.

While in our hotelroom in Valence( see my last post) , I saw this beautiful sunset. The sky behind the mountains had large pieces of white, very special I thought. A few minutes later I looked again and then suddenly most of the white had turned into a stunning  red. Beautiful.

On day two of our trip to Spain we stopped in the beautiful city of Valence.

Outdoor Wednesday.

This weekend we started our vacation .We traveled to Spain. It is a long ride so  most of the days we see green and roads. On Saturday  we drove to Nancy, a beautiful city. That was our first stop. We didn’t see much of the city because we were rather late. I hope we will go back one day. I made only one photo of the city from our hotelroom. It is on the right of my collage down here.

Day two we drove through a beautiful part of France, The Vogezen. I don’t know what it is called in English. It was wonderful to see how the trees are changing colors at this time of year.I love those different shades of green and golden.  I made many many photo’s but all from the car so they are not the best in the world.  France is such a beautiful country.

Yesterday I visited an art fair here in the neighborhood. There were different artists with their work, some very nice. I show some photo’s to give a little  impression.

Ceramic.

Would you  believe this is ceramic and not leather. I had to feel it to believe it.

And my favorite ceramic. Such a beautiful color green.

Such gorgeous little ceramic stuff.

This lady sold the most beautiful hand colored silk. She also made clothes in any size and color  you want. Just beautiful.

Several beautiful paintings. I loved these colored ones.
