Long Weekend.

Today I am joining several memes  at once because I am busy watching the Olympic games. Do you watch the games? I love looking at all those young sportspeople from all over the world doing the best they can. Wonderful.

This beautiful sky I saw some days ago at sunrise, about 5 in the morning. I am usually not such an early riser but I couldn’t sleep. This is the real photo, no photoshopping.

The photo down here is of a sunset in the same week.

Lieve groet, Ingrid

Hello Riet,

These are some truly beautiful images. The sunrise and sunset is gorgeous.

I have been busy watching the Olympics too. I am especially fond of watching the swimming and gymnastics although, all of it is interesting to me. Fantastic to watch how these young people compete. I wish I had just one thimbleful of their energy. I believe at one time, I must have had this but age has crept upon me. :) Have a beautiful weekend!

Lovely sky photos - in one, it feels as if the clouds are on fire. A very cool and artistic effect!

I assume the village and canal are in the Netherlands. A charming view, and beautiful town...

I look at the Olympics on occasion - it is very hard to avoid the results due to the time difference the East Coast USA to the UK, a difference of 5 hours. But I do watch since I went to the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles. The competition compels us to watch closely at times...

Liefs

Lovely photos. I love that early morning sky!

We've been watching the Olympics too and we're exhausted! Out here in CA the coverage goes until midnight every night so, during the day, the whole town seems to be in a fog.

Have a wonderful week,
