Schiedam ziet er heel sfeervol
uit, mooie oude momnumenten,
en leuk altijd de molens in het stadszicht.
Gelukkig hebben we er nog
een heleboel in Nederland.

Fijne week lieve Rietje,

Liefs,
Josephine

Hello Riet
Beautiful photos depicting your country. I'll bet the windmill has seen much throughout the years.

The charming architecture is wonderful to see. So very different from anything I see here, though reminiscent of some buildings I've seen in NYC. Guess there is a bit of a connection.

What lovely scenes, Riet! I visited one of my favourite cities this month on my 'ramble'. That city is Maastricht - always such a treat!

Hello Riet

Your photos of beautiful Schiedam make me want to hop on a plane today!!!
I'm wondering how old it is. Such beautiful old buildings with so much character and no doubt wonderful stories to tell.
The windmill is just like out of a fairy story - magical!

Our darling daughter and our 3 granddaughters live in France where we visit often. We have always had boats and we would love to buy an old barge in Holland and journey via Belgium to France - it's only a pipe dream!!!

Do come and visit me and I'll get out my prettiest teacups - we have lots to chat about I'm sure!!

hugs

The look of Holland as we in the US think is of corse the windmill. A classic! I like the red roofing (tile?), the look that lasts for centuries. I hope someday to visit this beautiful country...

The shapes and features of the architecture are so very striking, and the windmill could be from a postcard. What a beautiful country!
