Today I am coming with some older photo’s for my favorite Monday memes. These photo’s were taken in The Zaanse Schans, a little village just above Amsterdam which is well known for its wooden shoes museum and its windmills.
For more about it go here : http://www.worldatlas.com/webimage/countrys/europe/nlzaanse.htm
As you all might know people did wear wooden shoes , not as brightly decorated as these . They were mostly plain.
I didn’t know these kids but they looked so cute in those big wooden shoes.

Oh they do look so cute in the shoes. I have a pair of plain Dutch shoes brought back to the U.S. after the war as a souvenir from Holland. They are deep in a trunk somewhere. I should get them out and let them have a new life.
Very pretty village this is with some of the most charming homes.
These place looks like our Holland, Michigan ^_^ I so love the big shoes with the kids in it ^_^

The two little boys in the big shoes look so cute. Do you think their mother posed them there for a photo? The village looks like a fun place to visit.
