Thursday, Friday.

For Alphabe Thursday we had to study the letter H. I found Houses , Homes and Hotel amongst other words starting with H. Here some photo’s I made this weekend when we visited Volendam and Marken.

Lovely gardens with all these little houses in Marken.

Monday, laundry day. Many housewifes in Holland still do their laundry on  Monday.
So here you see it hanging in the garden on a sunny day.

buitenlanders. Voor hun lijken
het vast speelgoed huisjes.

Heerlijk lieverd, even een paar

Josephine

Everything is sooo green and pretty there, Reit. I will Google 'Volendam' as it might be a place I would like to stay while in Holland (we were there a long time ago but didn't spend the night).

Thank you for peeking in on me and for your nice comment. I get hungry looking at the food too.

The cat house is just adorable! I love seeing the photos of homes that are so different from the ones I see in my community.

Every photo is wonderful but the one of the laundry hanging out is my favorite. In Florida, we actually live in an RV resort park where it is OK to hang laundry. Most of the ones where we've stayed do not allow it. I love that it is OK.

Oh goodness your photos are lovely! I like that sweet cat house! We need one like that for Tiger! He is a hand full and I need to keep him in his own space! HaHa!
Always joyful to come visit here!

This a wonderful post. Your photos are lovely. the colors of these little houses are charming. My husbands grandparents, both sets, immigrated from the Netherlands. His father spoke Dutch at home. He reads and writes Dutch, but did not teach his 7 boys. Three generations later most of the culture is gone.

Believe it or not, haven't been there yet -but I have in Enkhuizen.
One of my friends has a little "broodjeszaak" I think it's called "De Moide" and has a big ice cream cone in front of the patio.

These little houses look so much like a part of the Openlucht museum close to Arnhem that I wonder if they are patterned after these! Thanks for coming by my blog earlier!
