A few weeks ago we visited Volendam and Marken. I have a few more photo’s I want to show here.
The statue is of an old fisherman in Volendam. It sits right at the harbor. People love to sit next to him.
The weather was beautiful with only blue skies.

prachtig lieve riet, heb je ook paling gegeten?
In Marken en Volendam ben ik nog nooit geweest, het zou er toch eens van moeten komen. Ik hou alleen niet zo van vis, misschien is dat wel de reden ;-).
Fijne avond! Lieve groet, Ingrid
Very very beautiful. In Marken and Volendam I was at last in year 2008-nice memories.
Have a nice weekend,Riet.
I love the statue, Riet!! And what wonderful blue skies you have had! Terrific captures for the day! Happy SWF! Enjoy your weekend!
Ohhh wat leuk lieve Rietje, dat
beeld op de bank, kan me voorstellen
dat de mensen graag samen op de
foto willen.

Nice sky compositions!
It looks so beautiful there. I love the statue of the fisherman. Wishing you a lovely weekend. Pamela
Beautiful blue skies and brilliant reflections. Thanks for sharing.
I love a harbor city. The fisherman in the statue looks so patient! I guess the real ones usually have to be.
Aah. Thank you for reminding me of my own visit to these beautiful towns. I too had a photo with the bronze old man.
Such fascinating views of this lovely setting. And brilliant sunshine and blue skies as a bonus. And love the photo featuring a variety of fence styles.
Ja zo'n beeld op een bank nodigt uit om er naast te zitten, een echte Volendammer visser zo te zien.
Mijn voorkeur gaat uit naar Marken. De visser van Volendam is ook wel een leukerd. Fijn weekend, lieve groet
Lovely shots from Volendam! So nice to see (I was just a little girl when I visited and don't remember much).
Groetjes Irene
Love the statue and your photos!
Mooie serie weer, Riet.
In fotografisch opzicht is zo'n strakblauwe lucht niet echt interessant, maar tijdens zo'n uitstapje is het toch wel erg lekker.
Maak er een mooi weekend van.
What a beautiful place to visit...Nice pics
such a pretty place.
I love the statue. Your captures of the sky and the reflections in the water are beautiful.
You covered all the blogs very well. I am sure the fisherman had a bad day with that look.
Lovely photos! The sky is so beautiful and blue :)
The reflection is great and I also like the buildings and the statue. :-)
Always a pleasure to visit you blog and discover your reflections, Riet... Thanks for the lovely sharing.
Great shot of water lilies...well done...
That statue is fabulous, I would also like to sit next to him. :-) Have a wonderful weekend. Diane
Lieve Riet,

We have pictures of my son sitting next to that statue! We went to this area when we visited the Netherlands a couple of years ago. Thanks for bringing me back there!
