Riet, I read your "About me" and I have recently taken up both photography and blogging as I prepare myself for retirement.
I so like the delicate double image of the heron. So elegant and so fragile. I have an attraction to muddy streams like this that are overhung with willows and mangroves. They are often ao full of unusual animal life.
Im just getting a really funny image of you creeping up on this little guy, hardly able to breathe in case you set him to flight. Congratulations on a great snap

Herons are difficult to capture with a camera. You did well! I think all the herons that were here in Canada for the nice weather have now flown south.
The heron makes a wonderful reflection in the water as he searches for something to eat.
