A few days ago we visited Zierikzee ,this beautiful old city in the south-west of Holland.I made lots of pictures and I thought it would be nice to show some here for scenic Sunday.

I have been to Zierikzee some years ago and liked it very much. It is a lovely town and I think it is worth to go there again. We are not so far away once a year, but my problem is the tunnel: the ferry from Breskens to Vlissingen can not be used by cars any more, unfortunately there is only the tunnel left (I don't like tunnels!) or the long way around the Schelde.
I am very pleased that you like my blog and my photos - but I like yours also.
Have a nice weekend, groetjes, Monika

Prachtige foto's, Riet! Nederland is best mooi hè?! Bedankt voor je bezoek. De takken waren kaal toen ik ze kreeg maar binnen zijn ze gaan bloeien, terwijl buiten nog maar weinig is.

It looks like a lovely place. Very interesting architecture.
Yes, we still have a lot of snow, but it's melting down more and more every day.

Beautiful shots. I've actually been there, and about a year ago I scanned all my slides from many years ago (my visit to Zierikzee would have been in the mid-1970s when I was growing up in Holland). You made me find those old pictures, but yours are better. Thanks for bringing back some memories.

Hi Riet,
Holland is so lovely. My ancestors on my Father's side are from Holland. Maybe someday I will go there.

Riet,
What lovely pictures. Holland is on my wish list to visit! My grandfather came over in 1917 from Amsterdam to the USA as a stowaway and hence the Verhoeven name made its mark in New York. Thanks for visiting my Pink blog post. Come back and enter my giveaway! SO nice to have met yoy!

Fijne zondag.
