Alphabe Thursday.

Unlike most weeks I have only one word for Ms Matlocks class. We study the letter O and I found Organ.
I have some photo’s in a collage of the  wonderful organ in the King’s College Chapel in Cambridge,England. I made these  last year when we visited the beautiful chapel. The organ was built in the 17th century on the choir gate and is decorated with two trumpet blowing angels. The choirgate that separates the choir from the rest of the chapel is beautiful tudor woodwork. Whenever you go to England  visit Cambridge and the King’s college chapel with its stunning fan shaped ceiling and leaded glass windows all around. The worldfamous choir performs every day during service.Top left photo is the chapel, bottom left is the choir.

I will show more photo’s of the chapel in the future.

This looks like an amazing church with a lot of fire glass like in the old church of Delft.

What gorgeous pictures of a fantastic building! When I read the title "Organ" I was thinking organ donor and not the kind you play - kind of funny. Have a great week!

As you probably know I love cathedrals with their stained glass, soaring roofs and quiet spaces.
Your mosaic is delightful.

Wow! What an organ! The largest organs I have seen were at colleges - John Brown University in Siloam Springs, AR and College of the Ozarks near Branson, MO, but neither were any comparison to this!

What an outstanding post for the letter "O".

Those stained glass windows are incredible. Can you image sitting under the rainbow of their light when the sun is just so in the sky?

I hear the sound of an old pipe organ swelling in my imagination.

What a grand link for this week.

Thanks for sharing it.
