Blue Monday.

Last Thursday I showed some photo’s of the organ of King’s College Chapel in Cambridge. That was due to the letter O for that week.
Today I want to show more of the Chapel to King’s College of the University of Cambridge.  It is founded by King Henri 6th in the year 1441. and built in late Gothic style.  All the stained glass windows were made by Flamish masters during the years 1515 till 1531. The world wide famous choir is already more than 550 years old.

I could go on an on about the chapel because I have lots more photo’s but this is just  an impression.
This is the link if you want to learn more about King´s college and the chapel and take a virtual tour.http://www.kings.cam.ac.uk/chapel/

See that beautiful fan shaped ceiling,  the stained glass windows all around and the organ on the gate that separates the choir from the chapel.  It is one of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen.

This is beautiful, Riet! I love the Gothic style of so many of the chapels and abbys in England. This is a gorgeous example and you photographed it perfectly!
