Alphabe Thursday.

This week we start again with the letter A for Ms Matlock’s class.  I don’t remember what I posted last year but I thought of something else today.

I chose photo’s of some of my ALL time favorite  movie  Actresses and Actors. I think most young people these days don’t  know them but when I was young they were the stars and I saw each and every film of them.. Always. Maybe some of my older friends here still know their faces and names.  I still love watching them when they are on TV.  I had more favorites but I don’t have good photo’s of them any more.  All these photo’s I scanned from the photo’s I still have of them.  When I was a teenager I collected moviestar photo’s and I still have most of them, about 150.  I once wanted to sell them because I don’t look at them any more but I never got around doing that. Doris Day was my most favorite star.  I do have about 70 photo’s of her.  It was big business then.

So here we go, down Memory  Lane. I start with the ladies. Remember them?  They were all beautiful.

 2009-07 (jul)

And the gentlemen, they were all so handsome.

2009-07 (jul)1

And some couples who starred in famous films. Of course you all know Audrey Hepburn . I missed her photo for the ladies collage so here she is in the middle. She was so beautiful.

2009-07 (jul)2

You still know the names?  Kathryn Grayson and Howard Keel and

Doris Day and Gordon McRay,  on the left.  On the right you can see the names.

Have a nice week.

Lieve Riet,

Lieve groet, Ingrid

SO many of my favorites are here Riet. My favorite was Doris Day too as far as the women go, and my favorite male actor was Heston.
I loved Audrey and Barbara Stanwyck too.
I loved how Bing could sing and how Danny Kaye could dance. I could have watched him for hours.
I loved this fun post down memory lane.
sending love from here...

Is it really time to star at A again? I've missed so many classes, I'll probably get a detention!
I did something similar to this post for my very first A-T, I love vintage movie star photos, they're magical.

Geweldig!

Liefs, Juliëtte

I remember them all, but Charlton Heston was never a favorite of mine. This was a wonderful idea for an "A" post, Riet.

Times have changed, haven't they. Although I'm sure they had their share of drama, these were all class acts.

I do, I do remember the names. I never ever missed a Doris Day movie growin' up.

My Mama used to work in a theater and introduced me to the likes of Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire. Love 'em!

God bless ya sweetie and have a fantastic day!!! :o)

Nice nostalgia. Love old movies and I see lots of folks I love here. I'm really a big fan of 30's movies so I'd add Myrna Loy and William Powell for sure...
