Monday.

On the last day of our cruise a few weeks ago we were in Dover, England. I made a few photo’s in this old English city.
What could be more English than the doubledecker bus, not red but blue this time, and what about the “fish and chips”shop and   I love that  street with the blue doors .

That's lots of windows and blue! I would not want to ride on a double-decker bus though! It looks top heavy and easy to turn over!! I hope you have a great new week!

I liked your images of Dover. I haven't seen a double decker bus that colour either!

Echte Engelse plaatjes, wij hebben weinig van Dover gezien omdat wij met de trein van Brussel naar Londen reisden en net bij Dover weer bovengronds kwamen!

Fijne week Riet! Lieve groet, Ingrid

How lovely to "meet" you for the first time via Toby's blog. I have a cousin who lives in the NL, in Wassenaar, and I hope to visit her next year. I love the photo of the blue bus - I've never seen one before. Have a lovely week, Sparrow in NZ

Great photos! I too, love the blue door and fish and chips sound good to me! :)

This is a classic view of the UK an American might imagine (of course, the double decker bus is red in our minds too :). I suppose that the Brits would make the best fish and chips although I haven't yet been...

It all looks very British indeed! I love all the blue too.

Oh, so many windows! The ones in those storefronts are lovely and classic - but I really love the blue doors!
Thanks for sharing them with us at WWDD!

Great post for today's blog gatherings, Riet. You made me feel quite nostalgic, I haven't had fish & chips in a long time!

Very English, Riet :-). Leuk hoor. Vooral ook omdat die dubbeldekker nou eens niet in het rood is. Deze kleur blauw is erg mooi!

So fun. We loved the double-decker buses! I am smiling at the "Castle Take Away"...of course I know what it means, but I have a different picture in mind.
