Kings Day..

Last Saturday we celebrated our Kings birthday. In former years we always had a queen so we had Queens day as long as I can remember. It always is a day full of celebrations and fun. In our town we have a freemarket what used to be for children to sell the stuff they didn’t want any more or outgrew. These days many people try to sell their goods.

We also always have a fair very near our home . I love to walk around and look at all the people. So much fun to enjoy.

Here a small impression of the day.

Fijn weekend, Riet! Liefs, Ingrid

Happy Pink Saturday, Riet. This looks like such a fun day. That little dancing boy is so cute. And, I would have wanted to buy that pink bicycle.♥

Thank you for joining us today, and for always making Pink Saturday special.

dag, Koningsdag, wel even wennen

Josephine

Love the photos of the children, Riet. It is so interesting to me to watch the King and Queen on their day. We don't have that in America. Their children are darling, too. xo Jenny

Looks like a delightful Kings Day . . .
Love seeing all the children . . .
And the Oldies in Orange . . .

A Kings Birthday - a new treat for you all! Love all the orange in patriotic salute! You're pictures of the children are wonderful. Every time I've been in The Netherlands I have taken photos of a few children. All children are beautiful but there is something about the children I've seen there that always catches my eye. They are just gorgeous - great genes, I guess. I have absolutely zero Dutch in my ancestry so, along with my actual UK and Italian genes, I consider Dutch my "adopted" nationality because, you know, I adore your country!
Have a lovely weekend!

Oh that is a fun weekend. I have enjoyed those times when kids were small and even with hubby in Kingston, Ontario Canada.

Also back then was the street busters and now they travel world wide.

What a good way to celebrate. I wondered if the celebration is always on a certain day or if it is actually on your King's real birthday.

Hello dear Riet

The weather looks wonderful - the perfect time to be out and about taking photos and enjoying the happy scenes.

A great idea for children to have the opportunity to sell their things - a good way to learn the value of money!

Lovely post

Liefs, Ingrid

What a fun post, Riet! It's a brilliant idea to have a special day for children to sell things they don't need anymore. That teaches them many good life lessons. Christa
