More summer trip.

Last Sunday we visited our friends who have a summerhouse in a tiny lovely little village called Holysloot . There is only one street there and most of the houses are situated at the water. It is quiet and serene there and what is so special it is only a few miles north from busy city Amsterdam.

Wonderful to be there.

This is a bike and hikers ferry and as you can see it was a beautiful day.

These are so beautiful Riet. The cottage with the hydrangeas blooming is sweet. What fun to take a water taxi/ferry across the water. Love the sunset. Enjoy the weekend. Pamela

What could be more perfect than a peaceful getaway so close to the city (in case it is needed for some reason). Lovely pictures. That bike/hike ferry is wonderful.

I'm in love with your first pic : we don't see a lot of those old ways of crossing rivers, in our civilisation of the car... ^^

Such a lovely area. However, I would not want to be the window washers of that cottage.

Wat zijn ze toch mooi hé lieve
Rietje, die kleine pittoreske
dorpjes. Het lijkt daar vaak of
de tijd stil heeft gestaan.
Jullie troffen inderdaad heerlijk
weer waardoor alles nog veel
mooiere en vriendelijker overkomt.

SUPER mooi de laatste foto van de
zonsondergang, WOW!!!

Fijn weekend lieverd,

Veel liefs,

Beautiful post....but I love the hydrangeas the best....I have killed more of these plants than any others trying to get them to grow in our harsh Australian climate. HPS Michelle
