Last Sunday we visited our friends who have a summer house in the country just outside the city of Amsterdam. On our way there we visited a lovely little village called Durgerdam that is stretched along a dyke at the lake IJmeer part of the IJsselmeer lake.
Nothing better than sun and wind for drying the laundry.
Just watching
and there it is
Beautiful weather for sailing on the lake.
so nice and peaceful.
Resting behind the dyke.

Dit plaatsje ken ik niet, maar zo te zien ligt het prachtig aan het water en is het erg de moeite waard.

Interesting place, love the Heron and the drying laundry lol. Thanks for sharing :)
Great shots
Lovely pictures. It all looks so peaceful.
Durgerdam, ooit eens geweest maar
erg lang geleden. Bijzonder eigenlijk zo dicht bij Amsterdam
en dan zo landelijk en rustig.
Inderdaad een heerlijke omgeving
om plezier te hebben op het water.
Wat hebben we een zomertje hé
lieve Rietje,voor de zon
hoef je echt niet grens over dit
jaar. Wel heel warm maar bovenal
genieten.....
Liefsssssssssssssss

Beautiful post, Riet. I love that area. We have visited Alphen en de Rijn many times. The green heart of Holland they call it. Enno was born there and his sister still lives in town. Fun things to do on the water, boating, canal cruises. xo Jenny

Beautiful series. I love the heron.
Durgerdam, daar ben ik vroeger wel een naar toe gefietst vanuit Amsterdam. Leuk om te zien.
What an amazing place. Have you visited this area before? I adore the laundry image.

Hope to see you soon!
Great series of pics. Thanks for this virtual treat to eyes.
Happy WW!
Beautiful images! Oh I remember the sweet smell of air-dried laundry. Now our Homeowners Association police give a summons to anyone caught hanging something out to dry.
Indeed very beautiful and so peaceful. And I agree with you those sun dried laundry is the best. I am doing it every summer here. ^_^
Thank you for joining Water World Wednesday
