St Petersburg, Russia.

And then we visited beautiful St Petersburg. We were here last year as well but there is so much to see that we made another bus and boat trip through the city. My legs and feet are not what they used to be some years ago  so sadly enough no  long walking excursions for me. But this was fine too.
I start with just a few snaps here and there. St Petersburg was crowded as you can see.

Please click on photo's to enlarge them.

Numerous bridges over the river Teva that goes through and round te city.

Yes, the Swedish shop, here too.

There was a lot of rebuilding work I suppose but is was all neatly covered by these large painted cloths.

Here two photo's of little parts of the beautiful Church of the spilled Blood ( Church of the Resurrection). Stunning art and handwork. I will post a picture of the whole church next time together with a few more churches.

The architecture is so much more elaborate there, than what we see in North America.

me eigenlijk heel speciaal.

Josephine

I can't even imagine seeing such beautiful buildings as these. Your visit must have been out of this world. Like the red and blue bridges, too.

One of the most wonderful cities I have ever visited. The first time I went it was still called Leningrad and had a very different atmosphere.

It is such a beautiful city! There certainly are lots of people around. A bus and boat tour sounds so nice to enjoy it all. The church is stunning and I'll look forward to more photos of it. Thank you for sharing.
