Some weeks ago I visited the arboretum in Rotterdam. There were lots of flowers and in  so many different colors. I made a collage of photo’s with  most of the colors.

Weekend.

Last Saturday we spent some hours in Nice, in the south of France,  while waiting for our flight home after our cruise.

It was a beautiful but hot day so we walked around a bit through that beautiful city and sat at the beach for a while.

Alphabe Thursday.

This week we study the letter F in Miss Matlock’s class. I found quite a few words with F but I only used a few.
These photo’s I made while on holidays. The collage I made of three photo’s from Rome and one I made  in Istanbul. I chose that one because it was so funny. It said Vitamin and Fast Food.

First the Flowers, there were so many of these bushes on the roads from Rome to our harbor which was a  one and a half hours drive.
Then that enormous Fountain on the Saint Peter’s Square and the Front of the basilique.
And a Funny photo of this shop saying Vitamin and Fast Food.

To me this is the most beautiful church in the world. It is stunning in and outside. I made a lot of photo’s of the inside too . Will show them sometime later.

Rome is such a beautiful city with many many old buildings, statues and churches. I would love to go there again
some day because you need a couple of days to see all the beauty.

I am back and Monday memes.

We came back from our cruise last night .. We had a wonderful time and visited 6 countries in the eastern part of the Mediterranean. I made many many photo’s so I better start showing .
I will start with Greece.The second island we visited was beautiful Mykonos.  As you can see on my photo’s all the houses on the island  are white and have lots of blue to go with it. . Wonderful.






Lots of these streets are so very narrow and they still have a little restaurant or a little shop.






They live upstairs and downstairs  and they have lots of the most beautiful flowers everywhere.

Alphabe Thursday.

This week we study the letter C for Ms Matlock’s class. I found quite  a few words starting with C  and I found photo’s to go with them.


As you can see I found Chicken and Cottage, Cushion and Cows, Caroussel and Cat.

And I found a few more:



I also  found Cup for Coffee or tea and maybe  some Cake
and of course Church
and then there is Cruiseship.
The next two weeks we will be on vacation on one of those ships, hope to see you all after that again.

This week we study the letter B

for Ms Matlock’s class.

Let me Begin with Beautiful for the Beautiful weather we have had lately. After all that cold and wet weather we are  so happy.

There are many words starting with the letter B so I made a collage of photo’s  that go with the words.



Words like  Bridge with lots of Blue flowers next to it,  Buttercups in such a happy color,

a Baby Bird fed by mama, more Blue flowers, a very special Bench and one of my favorite Books

And Because of all this Beautiful weather we might start thinking about

or Boats maybe?

Monday our world.

For today I made a couple of mosaics for several memes. All these flowers I saw lately while touring in the country.

                                                   These cars are so much fun, don’t exactly know what they are doing
                                                   but they were there when we all left the ferry. There was  a whole
                                                   group of them.
                                                   PS. Josephine just told me these are bikes,
                                                   they even have a hood over it in wintertime.

Alphabe Thursday.

 

This week we start again with the letter A for Ms Matlock’s class.  I don’t remember what I posted last year but I thought of something else today.

I chose photo’s of some of my ALL time favorite  movie  Actresses and Actors. I think most young people these days don’t  know them but when I was young they were the stars and I saw each and every film of them.. Always. Maybe some of my older friends here still know their faces and names.  I still love watching them when they are on TV.  I had more favorites but I don’t have good photo’s of them any more.  All these photo’s I scanned from the photo’s I still have of them.  When I was a teenager I collected moviestar photo’s and I still have most of them, about 150.  I once wanted to sell them because I don’t look at them any more but I never got around doing that. Doris Day was my most favorite star.  I do have about 70 photo’s of her.  It was big business then.

So here we go, down Memory  Lane. I start with the ladies. Remember them?  They were all beautiful.

 

 

 

And the gentlemen, they were all so handsome.

 

And some couples who starred in famous films. Of course you all know Audrey Hepburn . I missed her photo for the ladies collage so here she is in the middle. She was so beautiful.

You still know the names?  Kathryn Grayson and Howard Keel and

Doris Day and Gordon McRay,  on the left.  On the right you can see the names.

Monday, our world.

We have had some nice days lately so we went out for a drive and a walk in the country.  Of course not without my camera.   Today we visited a lovely teagarden  . The lady who owns it has such a nice house and garden. I made a lot of photo’s , some of them are here in these mosaics.
I am sure you can see  and maybe know by now that I love making mosaics .  I made three for this post.

Yesterday we went for a walk in a nearby park.  It was beautiful there and there was a huge amount of Lady’s Lace.  I have never seen so much as this year.  Have a look.  Beautiful isn’t it ?

I found several letters like zero,  zipper,  zone,  zoo and  zoom  but only one I could find a photo to and that is Zebra.

The other day we drove around a bit and I took the  chance to make a few photo’s.  That funny sort of statue looked so cute ,I  had to take a photo. Also the lovely little house with all the green caught my eyes. The very old church was beautiful . An old man from the neighborhood was mowing the grass. Although it is still very cold for this time of year we get to see a lot of color around. Thank goodness for that.

Wednesday.

 

Yesterday we celebrated Queensday here in Holland.  Queensday is a special holiday to celebrate the Queens birthday. It comes with a lot of festivities in the whole country during this day. One festivity is free-market. At first it was planned for children to sell their old toys or whatever on the streets and make some pocketmoney but these days many market sellers are also there to sell their goods. My grandchildren were selling their stuff also this year so of course we were there to buy something from them. I only have a photo of Mike(grandson) selling me some orange  gerbera’s. They came from a friend.

There is a lot of orange on this day  as  our queen is from the Orange family. Many people wear something orange during this day as you might see on a couple of photo’s. The streets are full of people during this day and we were so lucky to have the most beautiful weather so they were  even fuller now but everybody was happy and enjoying themselves.

 

 

And how about these beautiful ostriches. They were parading the streets . The top photo I made special with picasa. I never saw this before.
