Hoi Riet,

Dit is zeker ook de Zaanse Schans? Is dat jouw familie die daar loopt?

Wens je een fijn weekend! Hopelijk knapt het weer iets op!

Lieve groet, Madelief

The buildings in this part of the Netherlands are disarmingly rural and rustic in a most charming manner, Riet. The weather looks to be holding up very well this far into the summer. Nearly time to hand the warm weather back to us in the Southern Hemisphere, though.

The first image is the stronger of the two. Lovely scene. I can't help imagining this scene in B&W. The color is marvelous but who knows?
