Alphabe Thursday.

Alphabe Thursday is hosted by Ms Jenny Matlock. This week we study the letter K.

Today my letter K goes for KEUKENHOF. It is the largest flower garden in the world and famous for its spring bulb displays. There are over 7 million flower bulbs planted anually.  Also in the park are  about 150 sculptures   made by local and foreign artists.

We visited the Keukenhof last year and the year before last. The first time we went in March and these photo’s were taken then. There were not so many flowers like tulips out in the gardens as it was still cold. So most of my photo’s here I took in the glass houses, like the orchids and the hyacinths amongst many other sorts. And of course there were tulips and daffodils inside  too.

If ever you can visit Holland come in spring so you can see the Keukenhof. It is something you will never forget. I am definitely going again this year.

Was a looong time ago we went there, and they just had come out with a "black" (bluish black) tulip! Very intriguing. Love the fields of colors there.

Thanks for stopping by and your sweet comment on my bakers rack. Some people in the US decorate a lot for Valentines day.
