Fall is here, days are getting shorter and darker.

I must say I don’t like these dark days,I certainly don’t get  inspiration from it.

So I went through my files and found some photo’s from London that I didn’t show yet. Just a little impression from that beautiful city.

First of all I want to thank everybody for their kind and sweet words on my last blog. Sadness tends to soften a little after some time and that is what’s happening now.

Sometimes things happen in your life that make you sad, so very sad that you don’t know what to do but cry and hide.

That’s why I didn’t post for a while.

Some days ago we went for a ride in the country. I made some photo’s and I want to show  few of them.

Last week it was our granddaughter Rachel’s birthday. There was a nice party with friends and family. It was a beautiful warm day so we all were in the garden. The kids had a lot of fun in their little boat as you can see on the photo’s here.

Monday, Tuesday.

Today we had our yearly afternoon tea in Madeliefs beautiful garden. We had  a great time with eight bloggers who all live in the neighborhood of Rotterdam. We chatted and laughed a lot and in these three years of blogging  we got to know each other rather well. It was as if we did meet yesterday instead of two years ago.

Thank you Madelief, it was wonderful. You are a beautiful host.

All the food was delicious and made by Madelief and her friend Ilze.

A few weeks ago we visited Volendam and Marken. I have a few more photo’s I want to show here.

The statue is of an old fisherman in Volendam. It sits right at the harbor. People love to sit next to him.
