Hoi Riet,

Fijne avond!

Lieve groet, Madelief

Thank you for welcoming me home Riet! I am indeed lucky that there is SYYPE these days and videos I can watch over the computer...it helps quite a bit to close the gap of being far away from my grandson.

I always love to see herons fly! They look almost prehistoric. Nice photos!

Hoi Riet,

How nice to see the blue herons are still in your area. Or perhaps they don't migrate south as the ones here in Canada do.

They are a nervous bunch in my experience. Without those long lens and only with a point and shoot camera, I rarely get a good image of them. You got it there.

The close ups of the blue heron are gorgeous, Riet. We have them here also and they look so graceful when they fly.

Amazing that you have blue heron there too. We have them all over the place here on the coast. Such lovely birds. Love your photos.

Herons have always been one of my favorite birds. You did a great job of capturing this one with pixels.

You really got that bird - well done. Are herons rare around where you live?

Hoi Riet,

The herons are great subjects - I look for them often at our Boggs Lake.

Hello dear Riet,
the blue Heron is such a beautiful bird. I've only seen one in the wild once. This is wonderful that you were able to get up to him so close.
I received my beautiful card from you today in the mail. You can imagine my joy when I saw that beautiful lace ornament. What a wonderful thing for you to do dear friend. My husband was as excited as I was, to see something from so far away from such a beautiful land. Thank you so very much.
hugs
