Skywatch Friday

For Skywatch Friday I chose these pictures I took two days ago when we finally had a sunny day after many grey rainy days. Just little clouds over Rotterdam and the river Maas.

For more skies from all over the world go here. There is a list of at least 350 skywatchers showing their blogs and skies.

It's so nice to see clear skies. It has been very grey here all week :(

Funny thing, my Skywatch photos were taken on the first clear day after several cloudy/rainy/snowy ones. However, here in New Mexico we have no big expanses of lovely water like in your shots. Thank you for sharing!

I think a lot of us experienced the same thing, my photos were taken on the first really clear day in nearly a month! Lovely captures, Riet! Enjoy the sun when you can!

Have a great weekend and stay warm!

Wonderful shots, Riet. We have clear blue skies here most of the week and our days are getting warmer as December is our first month of the summer season

Hoi Riet,

Lieve groet Josephine

Beautiful shots Riet, our skies have been gray and overcast for several days now. I look forward to a break in the clouds.

Oh, what beautiful pictures!! Except the Maas River reminds me of the time I nearly passed out in the tunnel. Now, I know the Dutch make strong tunnels, but I kept imagining the water rushing in and then I nearly fainted. Must've been something about the air pressure down in the tunnel...

Lovely cityscape - the water looks so calm and cold !

I really like the texture and shape of the clouds!

The sky looks much bigger there if that is possible.

Both yyour skies are very gentle and mild this week, Riet. There are quite a few crias-crossed vapour trails in that first one. I guess the storm clouds will come soon enough and I should not wish them upon you.

Looks like the jets were enjoying the lovely skies as well!
The rippling water makes for a lovely foreground.

Hallo Riet,

I agree - it has been very gray all the week, so to see some sunny and clear skies are lovely. Thank you for sharing these two great shots! And thanks for visiting me! =) Happy weekend.

Glad you had a chance to get out and shoot after the rain. Love the water in the foreground.

I tried to leave a comment on your reflections post, but got an error page. I love the ducks in the water, but the one showing the trees on either side of the water looks like a piece of art that should be framed.

Your SkyWatch photos are lovely, too.
