Weekend Reflections.

It is time for weekend reflections again hosted by James from New Town Area photo.
Last week we went for a walk in a little park not far from our home where I made these pictures. Nature looks so sad with all the bare trees but I still found some green. And reflections.

Hi Riet, I could not think of who sang My Old Kentucky Home, since it has been in my life since I was a little girl and sang it at school and a lot of places. But commercially I had forgotten where it became national and international. You are so right. Yes I have seen Show Boat the movie and also on the stage. I was 12 years old when I first saw the stage production of The Stephen Foster Musical here in Bardstown at the amphitheater. I saw the very first production and many times since. I forget to associate that song with any other production.

Hi Riet ... I just red your comment on my photo of my old Ducati. You made me smile .... because ... it's not a car. It a motorbike! The image showing the gasolintank!
Wish you a great weekend :o)

What lovely, meloncoly photos.
The bridge and the water looks like it's waiting patiently for spring. Lovely.

Fijn weekend Riet,
Lieve groet Josephgine

What a beautiful place Riet, it looks so peaceful. The ducks seem to be enjoying the solitude. Great reflections.

So pretty, Riet! Did you give your photos a sepia tone? Or did they come out that way? :)

Wow. The second one is my favourite but they're all lovely: it's the bridge that gets me in that one I think. I love the soft colours.

Hi Riet,
Lovely, lovely!! I would love to tag along on a walk with you, and bring my camera, too! It's so pretty there, and I know the air must smell so fresh and clean! I like the bare trees, and the reflections on the water.
You always manage to capture a peaceful mood in your pictures!

You haven't been by for awhile, hope you'll stop by soon for a visit and some holiday cheer.
Have a great weekend!

I enjoyed your weekend reflections. The scenes are still nice even on the drab side.

The refletion of the bare trees is great. They are all nice shots.I love seeing the bare trees as we don't have them here.

These are beautiful shots. I especially like the second one, it looks like Monet could come walking across the bridge at any moment. Lovely! Kathy

Oh Riet, This is just what was needed to warm my freezing cold eyes and heart. I am always, always in awe at the beauty you capture through your lens.
I have to admit that I love trees best when all dressed up in green, but there is an eerie beauty in bare trees. You have captured it so well here.

Hi, Riet... I'm up late and wanted to stop by for Pink Saturday.

These photos are so lovely! You really do some amazing work. That scene is very beautiful. Like something from a book.

Happy Pink Saturday to you...

Knap dat je nog een stukje groen hebt gevonden, hier is alles toch behoorlijk grauw. Maar binnen hebben we veel licht. Fijn weekend!

I don't see nature as "sad" on your picture. I see it asleep, enjoying the calm and peace of winter time; i like your pictures!
