My world Tuesday

Some months ago an Autralian friend asked me if I could make some pictures for her when we went to Delft. So we did ,yesterday. My contribution for My World today is the beautiful historic city of Delft.
Just a few photo's , I made about 100 of this beautiful old city, but I can always show some more later. The first photo is the old Town Hall that still is in use since about 1600 .
Then there is the new Church is also from about that time, This is a landmark in Delft and this is the church where our Royal family is entombed in the Royal cript.

Probably everybody knows Delft is the city of `Delft Blue` Here you see just a few of the many little souvenir shops on the large market place.Look at the beautiful, all different facades .This was a soft wintery day so it was very quiet .It had been raining most of the day so not many tourists. In the summer Delft is full. And then this last photo is a wonderful piece of art. It is made of plexiglass and steel. It says this is the blue heart of Delft. Delft is blue.

Hoi Riet,

Heerlijk avond verder,
Lieve groet Josephine

The blue sculpture in very interesting it is good that people can do thing that is only for art to look at.
It make the world richen that it does not alway need to be useful.

Have been looking around and seen the pink rose for you r first Todays flower and all the reflection on the canals.

Have a wonderful week Riet,
