Last week we went for a walk around this beautiful old castle not so far from our home. It was originated in the year 1420- Fourteenhundred and twenty. It has a big park around it where it is free to walk. There is a hotel-restaurant in it now.

It's a beautiful building. I think it's great they're using it for something instead of letting it go to ruin.
I equally love the architecture and nature.

That was built before our country was even "discovered!" Beautiful.
Nice photos, the grounds look lovely. I would like to walk around there myself.
What an incredibly beautiful and interesting building! And how lovely to walk around the grounds! Terrific captures and a great post, Riet!
Enjoy your week!

It's a beautiful place that I would enjoy visiting.
Thanks for sharing this and visiting with me. :)
Its a huge castle Riet, and the reflection shots are great too! I could spend a few hours just walking around and enjoy the scenery!
Thank you for sharing this lovely, peaceful part of your world.
Looks more like a mansion than a castle, but absolutely gorgeous.
Such a beautiful building -- it's hard to believe it's so old. Your photo with reflection is outstanding!
gorgeous building, & the grounds are wonderful too.
Fijne week!
What a great place to have nearby. I enjoyed your photos, especially the reflection shot.

Lovely photos.. I have a Sony 300 also.. her name is Baby.. we were kinding around when we first got it that the bags and lens were like carrying around a baby bag again...so it just stuck.. everyone in the family knows who baby is.
simply beautifully captured shots...lovely!
Prachtig gebouw. De tuinen rondom dit soort gebouwen zijn altijd zo mooi aangelegd en onderhouden. Fijn dat het voor iedereen toegankelijk is.
You have a beautiful world there! Love the picture with the reflections in the water!
Gorgeous photos and what a beautiful building, I love the architecture. hugs, Cindy S.
Good Morning Riet...
I am so lovin your new blog too sweetie. It is just beautiful. Photographs as well.
I love castles and this is exquisite. You have done a wonderful job photographing this castle. You caught the very essence of its being I believe.
I also loved the wooded area. How beautiful the trees are. Closed for the winter they say.
Thank you for sharing my special friend. As always I so love to come for God's beauty. You have an eye to capture that.
Thanks for stopping by, I so love it when you do. Happy Thanksgiving sweetie...Country hugs, Sherry
Hoi Riet,

Fijne avond!
Wow, such Gorgeous Photo's. You are so Blessed to live in such a beautiful place :) I could just crawl into your pictures and lose myself for awhile :) Happy Belated Pink Saturday !!
Beste Riet,

Marijke
