Every year at the end of April we have the fair here. I used to love it when I was a kid. Did you?

Here just a little impression of what we saw during our short walk. Usually around this time of year the weather is a lot better and definitely warmer. Now  it was too cold to stay longer.

This week we have been out for a couple of days and this is what I saw.

Fences, blooms , reflections and a beautiful  old French pink car.

We also visited two museums in a little old village called Spakenburg  . In one museum there were over 200 quilts shown. All very beautiful. I am going to show some photo’s from there soon on my other blog

Spakenburg is one of the few places in the Netherlands where some women still wear local traditional clothes. Will show photo’s of those later.

Pink Saturday.

Last Sunday it was my birthday. We had a wonderful day with family and friends visiting us. I got some lovely presents. My husband gave me a new camera and some beautiful quilting fabric and our children brought me quilting books.  I will show those on my other blog one of these days. This week we study the letter V for Ms Matlocks class. I found Valence, a beautiful city in the south of France. Lots of old buildings and lots of green. We Visited it the year before last.

Finally we had some nice sunny weather today. Good for a walk and taking some photo’s. There was not much color yet but what I saw was enough to cheer me up.

My husband  gave me a new camera for my 75th birthday next Sunday already so I was  happy I could use it today.

Alphabe Thursday.

This week we work on the letter T for Ms Matlock’s class. As we are desperately waiting for Spring to come I am showing you lots of Tulips. My favorite flowers.

 Tulips say Spring so here are some beautiful ones.

The first photo’s are taken in the greenhouses in the Keukenhof in March and the second ones are from outdoors but  taken in April of another year.
