A few years ago, also in this time of year, we went on a vacation to the Florida Keys. We had a wonderful time and I found some photo's to show how beautiful it is there. Hopefully we will be able to go again there someday.

Outdoor Wednesday is hosted by Susan from a Southern daydreamer.
The weekend before last we were in Amsterdam and we had the most beautiful weather. As you can see people love to sit on terrasses and enjoy themselves watching other people go by while having a cool drink on such wonderful days.

Getting on the internet has not been easy this week . We have two computers but one didn't work on line. I still need to visit lots of people but I will get there one of these days.
Last Sunday we had a beautiful sunny fall day so we went for a walk. We found this lovely little park not far from our new home. Of course I had my camera with me and here are two pictures I made there.

A few hours ago we finally got back on line. After ten days I was so happy to be able to get back at my computer. I just want to post this reflection picture of my new kitchen.
I also want to thank all my friends for their comments on my last logs. I will get to all their blogs soon and comment . I just want to say moving is not fun. After 10 days we still haven't unpacked every box and still there is such a lot to do to make it a home.

Weekend reflections is hosted by James from NewTown Area Photo's. Today, like yesterday, I have a photo I made a few days ago in Kinderdijk, the place where all the windmills are. It was a beautiful day with sun, blue skies and white clouds. We were sailing on the canal with a tourist boat as you can see.

This picture I made a few days when we went to visit Kinderdijk with family. They had never been there and as it is one of my favorite places of course we had to go there. This is one of the many pictures I made. It has such a beautiful Dutch sky, blue sky and white clouds. Some of you may have noticed that I am not posting much these days. The reason is, we sold our house and we are busy getting the other house ready to move in.

Today I have one mosaic for both memes.
I have to tell you that we sold our house last Friday and we will be moving in about three weeks time. So busy times ahead but we are so happy. Also in this country the housing market is slow so we are the lucky ones. If I am slow in visiting I apologize for that. I will do my best.

First of all I want to say I am doing a happy dance as we sold our house today. I have not being commenting on everybodies blog quickly enough for what I want to apologize. Times were hectic now and then. We will be moving out in a few weeks time so I will not be posting and commenting as much as I want to. I hope that in our new home we will be able to get the computer working soon enough.
This picture I made in a little park near our home.

Two weeks ago we visited our family in the beautiful old city of Alkmaar, THE cheesecity in the Netherlands. I am sure people who visited Holland have visited the cheesemarket. Thousands of tourists come to see the cheesemarket in the summer. On my few pictures you can see the cheesebearers who transport the cheeses from the markets to the buyers. It is fun to watch them walking . More pictures I made when walking through the beautiful center of the city, wooden shoes and tulips on the market, the canals with the tourist boats and the world famous street organ with its music. I will try to get some streetorgan music on my blog for today. I made many more photo's that day so these next few days I wil post more from Alkmaar with its beautiful old buildings, canals and narrow streets.
For Blue Monday more photo's I took in Alkmaar while touring through the canals in an open tourist boat.
As you can see some bridges open to let the boats pass by but some bridges don't open so the boat goes under the bridges. This is so much fun because every time we got to sail under the bridges we had to bend our heads otherwise we would hit our heads. You can see how low they are on the right bottom picture. And there were about 20 of them.

Last week we have been away for a few days visiting family and seeing some of the sights in a different part of the country. First we visited the Zaanse Schans, a museum village on the river Zaan. I start with wooden shoes from the wooden shoes factory. You can see some of the many, many different ones. Also behind glass some beautiful antique clogs, even pairs for brides, Imagine wearing these on your wedding day. I made lots of pictures on our trip so these following days I will show a lot of different sights.
And for Blue Monday I chose some blue pairs.
