Alphabe Thursday.

 

This week we study the letter V for Ms Matlocks class.

This weeks V is very special because I want to introduce you to a very special person, Gustav Vigeland.

There is a park in Oslo,Norway, that bares his name because it houses 212 sculptures of bronze and granite , all made by him. When we got there I could not believe  my eyes, it is absolutely stunning. It is an outside sculpture museum representing different stages in a human life. Unbelievably beautiful.

I didn’t get to see the whole park due to too little time and very sore feet ( but I made as many photo’s as I could.

There are lots of photo’s and you tube films on the internet of the park and I picked one site that you REALLY should see. It has many photo’s of the Vigeland Park, Oslo.

Down here I have some of my very favorites.

On the bottom right photo you see a tower that is called the Monolith totem. It is 46,32 feet high and is composed of 121 human figures rising towards the sky.  It portrays a feeling of togetherness as the human figures embrace one another as they are carried towards salvation.

Now can you see that I was so stunned?

Last summer we  visited family who live in the beautiful city of Alkmaar. Here some photo’s I made there and the beach photo I took in a little village called Bergen.

Alphabe Thursday.

 

Ms Matlock told us to study the letter T for Thursday Today.  I found some nice words with photo’s to go with them. Here they are.  T is a very popular letter I noticed.

 

 

Words like Tea, and Towel, and Tulips  and Tower. There are many more but I will keep them for the next round.

 

Tea anybody? I’ll get an extra cup and how about a little cake?

 

Don’t you like this Towel dog? The lady who cleaned our cabin during our last cruise surprised us with this

lovely dog. So cute.

 

 

Never to miss  my favorite flowers, Tulips, here on a cup and a box.

Alphabe Thursday.

 

This week we study the letter S for Ms Matlocks class. Not a difficult letter so I found quite a few words that begin with S and  I found the photo’s to go with them in my last years photo album of Spain.

 

 

So here we have : Last Summer in Spain,  Sitting  in the Sun,  looking at the Sailboats and Swimmers in the Sea or at the blue Sky.

 

In my Second collage I Show  Storks, many of them. They live in this beautiful nature park  in the Costa Brava. We go there Several times during our holidays .
