A sunny day.

Last week we visited a lovely little old village more south in the country called Eersel. Not far from where I grew up and where we  went camping with our youthclub.

It was one of the first lovely sunny days this spring so it was wonderful to walk around and have lunch on a terrace. All these old houses are situated at the village square that is one of the nicest in the country.

All the houses at this village square are old but this one is the oldest. Built in 1669 and still looking so good.

We visited more places but I will show them next time.

Memory Lane.

 

 

Due to circumstances I didn’t make many pictures lately so I am going back to Memory lane.

A few years ago we visited England and one of the lovely places we visited was Cambridge situated on the river Cam. A  university city with beautiful buildings.

Skywatch Friday

It’s been a while since I was here but sometimes life gets in the way.

Also it has been a miserable winter with lots of rain and dark days. Not really something to make you feel happy.

But spring is coming , the weather is getting better and the days get longer.

We now and then did have some clear sunny days and that’s great for beautiful sunrises and sun downs.

I made lots of photo’s and I have a few here to show.

The days sometimes started with the red sun and sky. The other three are sun downs where the sun wanted to peak through the dark clouds.

Sometimes very spectacular.

It’s been awhile since I wrote something on my blog. The weeks fly by and it is already February. Not much is happening this time of year so not much to tell either.

But I did make sky photo’s from my window and here are three I want to show.

First of all I want to wish you all a happy New Year. May this new year bring you lots of photo’s, friendship and blogging.

 

In Holland we have this tradition, fireworks all over, just after midnight on the first day of the year. Many beautiful fancy fireworks and oh so many with lots of noise.. It is a beautiful sight and we all say our ooh’s and ahh’s when we watch them going up into the air.

I made photo’s and I did put some of them together in a collage.

Winter.

As a matter of fact we haven’t had any snow  this year yet. It is getting  colder but it hasn’t been freezing much either. So far a mild Autumn.

I love snow photo’s so I looked  through my files and found these photo’s from two years ago, made in December in a little park not so far from our home.

My grandchildren do hope for a white Christmas. That doesn’t happen very often in this country.
