Stockholm Sweden.

Yes, it’s been a while since my last blog. I was a bit under the weather

But here we go again . I still have photo’s from our last cruise around the Baltic sea. This time I want to show photo’s of beautiful Stockholm, Sweden.

Swedens capital city spreads out over 14 islands in lake Malearen and looks out to the Baltic sea.

And this is what I want to show today, not the old city but just some of the islands and the beautiful sights .

This is one of the most beautiful areas I have ever seen. We were there two years ago on a cruise.

Beautiful place to cruise. It reminds me of the Thousand Islands on the St. Lawrence River by Kingston.

A nice glimpse of Sweden Riet. What stands out is how blue the water is and all the islands that dot the area.
Always a pleasure to have you link to Mosiac Monday.

I certainly enjoyed a view of a part of the world so unknown to me. You can almost feel the clean air. The water is such a deep blue and the houses look so interesting.

I sure hope you are feeling better now. Your photos show us the diversity in that area. Beautiful sail boats and huge cruise ships...all in beautiful blue water. I'm not sure about living on that tiny island where that house is but I would love to visit! Hugs!

Have a Happy Blue Monday!

Lovely photos of the water, islands, and houses, that's a special way to see Stockholm, instead of from a road. What I remember most from there is the Sculpture Gardens.

I had no idea that Stockholm spread out over 14 islands....it is lovely much like our 1000 Islands here in NY.

Sweden looks like the perfect place to cruise.
was that your cruise ship in the photo Riet?

A lot of the houses look like our New Zealand wooden villas and bungalows.
I particularly love the two on the island (not like ours) they are so attractive.

Hope you are feeling much better today.
Take care

Leuk om het nu eens vanaf deze positie te zien. Wij varen op de veer- en kleine lijnboten, dus dan kijk je er niet zo overheen. Mooie fotoreportage. Ik heb genoten. Lieve groet,

How great it would be to live on one of those islands dear Riet! The countryside there looks lovely with all of the green rolling hills all covered in trees. Beautiful, beautiful photos of the them Riet!!! I loved the photo with the ship showing just how large it really is compared with the islands.
How I love visiting your beautiful blog dear. I am living vicariously through you when you travel :)
much love...

It is beautiful Riet! I love the blue water and the peaceful looking cottages. Sweden was home to m ancestors (3 + generations back) on one side ... I believe I'd fit right in ;>)! (I would really love to visit someday...sigh, so many places, so little time!)

I am glad you are feeling better. I've been traveling and way behind and had not had time to miss you.
