A couple of months ago we visited Noord Babant the beautiful province where I was born and lived when I was young.
That southern part of our country where most people were Roman Catholic.
Those beautiful little villages with their old farms that were transformed to beautiful houses.
I loved it.
Lighting a candle for somebody we loved.
Big statue in front of a restaurant.

I loved it.
It was raining a bit as you can see.
Lighting a candle for somebody we loved.
Built in 1614 as you can see.
The church in Eindhoven I went to with my friends.
And next three photo's I made in a lovely little tea-salon and garden.

Nederland kent zoveel mooie plekjes! En wanneer je met de streek ook nog eens een speciale band hebt vanuit je jeugd, is het extra genieten. Je hebt mooie foto's gemaakt, Riet.
Ik wens je een fijne week! Liefs, Ingrid
Lovely pictures. This country is rich in history and beautiful architecture.

Riet, these old homes are really lovely. I like the ones converted from barns. It's a very pretty town. Have a good week ahead.

What fun to re-visit your birth home! The tea salon is sweet, I thought it was a private home at first. And it was a surprise to read that the big statue was in front of a restaurant; I would have thought a Church. It's a beautiful area.
Riet..I do not know where to begin other than to say this is a beautiful series of pictures from the area where you lived. The homes are now so lovely. ..especially the barn turned into homes. The little tea shot is precious...decorated so nicely. And the Catholic church is a lovely one.
Hello Riet, your birthplace is beautiful. Lovely images of the homes, church and the cute tea salon. Wonderful photos, have a happy week!
Leuk om naar je geboorte grond terug te gaan, wel veel veranderd met al de boerderijen die verdwenen zijn.Maar ze zijn tenminste wel bewaard gebleven en niet afgebroken.
Inspiring. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Riet,
You were raised in a charming place. I'm so glad you went back and took these photos.
Have a Happy Blue Monday!
It is fun to go home again, isn't it?
All of the photos are beautiful. But that little fairy garden really catches my eye. I should try to make some tiny dresses like those! How adorable! Sweet hugs, Diane

A fascinating collection of hoses and buildings. You are so lucky to have grown up in such a beautiful historical area. Riet, your house and garden are stunning.
This is such a beautiful place! You were blessed to have lived in such a place. I could comb over your photos forever to try and put myself there in those streets and shops. It must be wonderful to visit this beautiful place that means so much to you and appreciate how well things are taken care of and rehabilitated. I wish this was so in the US.
The photo in the tea garden is so pretty. The faerie garden is darling!
sending hugs...
